- Your current grade in the course (before the final)
- How much the final exam is worth in your overall grade
- The grade you want to achieve in the course

If the required grade is above 100%: It may not be mathematically possible to achieve your desired grade. Consider aiming for a lower target.
If the required grade is below your current grade: You may not need to take the final to maintain your desired grade (check your school's policy).
